HILLSIDE CONNECT COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Hillside Connect is a church community for Hillside Baptist Church. These guidelines apply to direct messages, team discussions and replies, prayer care, and other member-submitted content. By using Hillside Connect, members agree to follow these rules.

BE RESPECTFUL AND CHURCH-RELEVANT

Do not post or send harassment, bullying, threats, hate, obscene or sexually explicit content, encouragement of violence, impersonation, scams, spam, or illegal content. Disagreement is allowed; demeaning, intimidating, or unsafe conduct is not.

PROTECT PRIVACY

Do not share someone else’s home address, contact details, private messages, screenshots, or sensitive prayer information without that person’s permission. Share only what you are comfortable sharing with the audience shown in the app.

PROTECT CHILDREN AND TEENS

Grooming, exploitation, sexual solicitation, and unsafe contact with a minor are prohibited. If a message or interaction involving a child or teen feels unsafe, use the report or block tools and tell a parent, guardian, trusted adult, or church leader immediately.

REPORT CONCERNS AND BLOCK UNWANTED CONTACT

Members can report a direct message, discussion, or reply from inside the app. Reports should be made in good faith. Blocking is also available for unwanted direct contact. Hillside administrators can review the specific reported content and the explanation submitted with the report.

MODERATION AND ENFORCEMENT

Hillside administrators may review reports, remove content, limit social features, suspend an account, or take other appropriate action to protect the community. Serious safety or legal concerns may be referred to the appropriate authorities. Repeated false or abusive reports may also result in account restrictions.

EMERGENCIES AND URGENT NEEDS

Hillside Connect is not an emergency service or a substitute for medical, mental-health, or professional care. If someone may be in immediate danger, call 911 or the appropriate local emergency service and notify a trusted church leader.
